"Google is displaying incorrect map of India depicting the international boundary of some states like Arunachal Pradesh on its different websites,” ," Union Minister Harsh Vardhan said in a written response to a question in Lok Sabha.
"Displaying an incorrect map by Google is an offence under Section 69A of IT Act, 2000. Survey of India, which is the nodal agency to deal with the issues related to boundary matters has been advised to take appropriate legal action for violation committed by Google,” he said.

The minister further said,"the Department of Electronics and IT has also been asked to initiate appropriate legal action under the IT Act."
Last week, the Survey of India filed a complaint against Google at the Dalanwala police station in Dehradun.
