New Delhi: Chinese IT major Lenovo has come up with its all new tablet – IdeaPad A1000 in India and the device comes off as another addition to the flourishing budget-friendly tablet market. The IdeaPad A1000 has been priced at Rs 8,999.

This latest offshoot from Lenovo’s stable was announced earlier this year and it is up for sale at Lenovo’s official website and shopping portal Flipkart. Let’s have a look at the technical specifications of IdeaPad A1000.

The all-new Lenovo tablet sports a 7 inch capacitive multi-touch LCD display, which provides a screen resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core MediaTek MTK8317 processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. It also has a 1GB DDR2 RAM and is loaded with an integrated graphics along with a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing camera. The device, however, does not feature any rear-camera.

One can get good connectivity via SIM card slot with 2G data support and voice call facilities. Apart from that, it also comes packed with a 2G (EDGE), GPS, 3G (via dongle), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and USB.  The IdeaPad A1000 also provides an internal storage capacity of 4GB and it can be expanded to 32GB through microSD card and also features dual-front facing speaker powered by Dolby Digital Plus support for an advanced audio-video hearing and viewing experience.

The IdeaPad A1000 weighs 340 grams, 10.7 mm thick and is powered by a 3500 mAh battery, which can keep the device get going upto 420 minutes of talk time. The device is likely to be pitted against domestic products like HCL, Micromax, Karbonn and others. Going by the features, IdeaPad A1000 promises to provide the tablet which seems to be the best in its segment as of now.
