Though the company didn't give any word on the price of the A6000's successor A6000 Plus smartphone, speculations are rife that it will priced at Rs 6999 approximately.

Reportedly, the company hasn't made much changes in the phone which will serve as a downside to the device as the new consumers will think twice before upgrading. They don't have anything much interesting in the new model.

The company's surprise move can be seen as a take on its rivals which have just launched 4G equipped smartphones in the country like iBerry's Auxus Beast and Moto E 2nd generation 4G model.

Of the few modifications made to the phone, the new A6000 Plus is equipped with 2GB worth of RAM instead of 1GB RAM in A6000. The internal storage capacity has been doubled to 16GB instead of 8GB.

The Lenovo A6000 features a 5-inch IPS HD display with 720x1920 pixels resolution. The handset is clocked at 64-bit 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor complimented by 1GB RAM. The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo's Vibe UI 2.0 custom interface. A6000 sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and LED flash and a 2-megapixel front facing camera.

The paramount advantage to the new model is that it supports 4G LTE. If rumours are to be believed, the company is in talks to launch the handset soon. The prospective buyers will be able to choose from  black, red, white or yellow colour variants.
