According to a report on AndroidPit, LG will build the upcoming Nexus smartphone, but it will be based on an unreleased prototype.

Reports suggest that LG will be making the next Nexus phone which might be called as Nexus 5 (2015). LG will work from scratch for the new Nexus design and the Nexus 5 (2015) design will not be based on the LG G4.

There were also reports that Google is planning to launch two Nexus devices in 2015.

LG Nexus 5 was quite popular among the users compared to Motorola Nexus 6 that's why LG has been chosen to make the next Nexus device. Although neither Google nor LG has confirmed the same.

According to the reports, LG’s Nexus which was codenamed Bullhead will have a 5.2-inch screen, while the Huawei phone which is codenamed Angler may come with a bigger 5.7-inch screen. It is also expected to sport Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC and a 2,700mAh battery.

The Nexus 6 appears to have suffered in the market. The 6-inch screen and high price mean more people would not buy it especially in India.

Recently, Nexus 6 has got a price cut on Flipkart. It is available for Rs 34,999 for the 64GB version.

Google should go back to the mid-range pricing to attract more and more costumers.
