“LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority. The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.

Five months after the release, Google officially begun rolling out the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop on November 3.

"While we first introduced material design this summer, the updates (Android 5.0 Lollipop) are just the beginning of delivering a modern design language for the next wave of devices in your life. It's a conversation we'd like to keep going," said Nicholas Jitkoff, Team Android's designer, through official Google blog post.

However, Google did not reveal much on device updates, but it is expected that Nexus 7 and 10 tablets will be the first to receive it.

The update had already started rolling out and you will be notified automatically when it hits your device

“Lollipop” or Android 5.0, the upgraded operating system for mobile, “is designed to be flexible, to work on all your devices and to be customized for you the way you see fit,” Pichai had said.

With the new operating system, according to the Android Website, “The songs, photos, apps, and even recent searches from one of your Android devices can be immediately enjoyed across all of your Android devices.”

The Nexus 6 smartphone becomes the newest and largest of the Google-branded handsets, and is produced by Motorola, which Google bought in 2012 and is in the process of selling to China’s Lenovo.
