New Delhi: In order to boost its revenue, the Delhi government has decided to set up liquor shops at the lounge of IGI Airport terminal 3, Delhi.

Seeing the good income from liquor sales, the government is hoping to earn significant revenues from the liquor business at the various duty free shops. The passengers arriving in Delhi by international flights will only have access to these shops.

In the Cabinet meeting headed by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Monday, it was decided that there should be amendment to the Central Excise Act 2010, which will allow setting up liquor shops at airport.

The IGI airport will be granted L-10 license for setting up of liquor shops at its lounge.
