A senior police official said on Monday that out of the 52 Nigerians arrested in Goa on October 31, 38 have managed to get bail from local court, after producing requisite documents.
The remaining 14 will stay in jail as they are without valid documents and all are involved in various crimes in Goa, he said.
The state government has decided to send the list of all these 14 Nigerians to their Embassy so that the process to deport them back to their native country can start.
A group of 200 Nigerians had blocked the national highway on October 31 protesting against killing of a countryman. Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar had said that the murder took place due to drug rivalry.
