Sran was replacement for Jaydev Unadkat after latter gave a disappointing performance in the first T20 which India lost against the hosts. Sran, realizing the importance of this break, left no stone unturned to make a lasting impact on selectors and teammates.

1. This is the second-best bowling figure on T20 International debut. Ajantha Mendis held this record earlier, courtesy, his figure of 4/15 achieved against Zimbabwe in 2008.

2. Sran's feat of scalping three wickets in a single T20 over brings him at par with Ashok Dinda, who achieved the same feat in 2008 against Sri Lanka at Pallekele.

3. His 4/10 is the best figure by an Indian bowler on T20 international debut, eclipsing Pragyan Ojha's 4/21 against Bangladesh in the 2009 World T20.

4. This is also the second-best bowling figure by an Indian bowler, next only to Ravichandran Ashwin's 4/8 against Sri Lanka in February 2016.
