Gorakhpur: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) President and former Union minister Ramvilas Paswan cleared that for the 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly election the party will not form an alliance with any of the parties and will field party candidates on all 403 assembly seats in the state.

Preparing the party for election campaign in UP, the LJP has appointed party In-charge for all constituencies. The name of the party candidates for assembly seats will be declared a month before the elections.

Criticizing the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) for poor governance in Uttar Pradesh, the LJP president said Dalits who garnered support to Mayawati, are in a deplorable condition in the state.

Pointing recurring affliction of Japanese Encephalitis in Uttar Pradesh, Paswan said that the if exorbitant amount spend by the ruling government in construction of parks and statues was used in the health sector then spurt in deaths due to Encephalitis could have come to halt.

The former Union Minister also expressed his opinion on Anna Hzare’s Jan Lokpal Bill.  He said, “Entire nation is against corruption but the ways adopted by Team Anna to press their demands in against the dignity of constitution.”
