London: One of the two Olympic bronze medals stolen from a London nightclub has been recovered. The medal was posted anonymously to the England Hockey head office.
According to sources, the medal belongs to hockey player Hannah Macleod.

Notably, Hannah Macleod and rower Alex Partridge had alleged that after a reception hosted by the Queen at Buckingham Palace, to celebrate the achievements of the 2012 athletes, they went to a club where they lost their medals.

Later, Macleod had appealed on Twitter for her medal to be returned. She tweeted – “After a Team GB reception with the queen at Buckingham Palace, we went to a club in Mayfair where the theft took place between 12am-3am.” "I'm not after punishment. If you picked up a Bronze Olympic medal that isn't yours pls just send anonymously back to GB hockey-Bisham Abbey.”
