London: The 2012 London Olympics organizing committee has unveiled the designs of uniforms that will be worn by around 70,000 volunteers, 6,000 committee staff and 4,500 technical officials during the games.

The London Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) unveiled the designs on Tuesday, as reported.

All volunteer uniforms are said to be made of recyclable material, including the bags and water bottles. The LOCOG said all uniforms have been produced in eco-friendly, responsible ways.

'What we've come up with is a uniform which celebrates the best of Britain's heritage in a modern and sustainable way,' said Paul Deighton, chief executive officer of LOCOG.
