JD-U’s election manifesto, which was released by party president Sharad Yadav and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Patna, also promises legislation for the safety and protection of migrant workers in the country, a commission to study the socio-economic condition of poor upper caste people at the national level and a special category status for all backward states like Bihar

The election manifesto just like many other of its kind also vowed zilch tolerance against corruption, communal hatred and communal forces.

Sharad Yadav said that corruption and communalism are two big challenges before the country and they are determined to fight against both.

He also took a potshot at BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, claiming that the Gujarat Chief Minister is trying to play with people's emotions in his election meetings.

Meanwhile, Nitish Kumar said that the party will repeat Bihar's successful execution of women reservation at the national level.
