Kejriwal is contesting against Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and Congress leader Ajai Rai in Varanasi.

Kejriwal earlier said there was no trace of Modi wave in the country and appealed to the people to bring an end to the era of ‘corruption and VIP culture’ of UPA and NDA governments.

“There is no Modi wave in the country. The mission of AAP is to weed out corruption from the country as the people are fed up from misrule of UPA and NDA governments," he said while addressing a road show on the last day of his Punjab tour.

“If the common man does not come forward, the system will remain corrupt," he added.

Kejriwal had earlier this month admitted that his decision to resign as Delhi Chief Minister was ill-timed as it gave the impression that he was running away from responsibility.
