“NDA under Modi will certainly win 275 seats. Congress and its supporters will not be left with anything,” Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said in an editorial in party mouthpiece ‘Saamna’.

Uddhav said no one wants to contest the Lok Sabha polls on a Congress ticket. He added Rahul Gandhi had cracked a big joke by saying the Congress will shock everyone and win more than 200 seats.

“Even Sonia Gandhi would be shocked by this claim. Such balloons need to blow… to encourage party workers but while blowing such balloons Yuvraj may hurt his own mouth. It is a good timepass to say that we will win more than 200 seats when the Congress is not in a position to get even 100 seats,” said Uddhav.

“A party that is not getting candidates making such tall claims is a sign of mindlessness. But then what can you expect from those who have lost their minds?” he added.

Expressing confidence that the UPA would form the government at the Centre for the third consecutive term, Rahul had recently rubbished opinion polls, which said the BJP will win more than 200 seats.

Asserting that Modi will register a thumping victory in Varanasi, Uddhav said Kejriwal's party will disappear after the Lok Sabha polls.

“Whatever monkey business Kejriwal does in Varanasi, Modi will win in Varanasi,” he added. The battle for Varanasi has become more intense with increasing hints from Kejriwal that he will contest against Modi.

Meanwhile, the Congress is expected to announce its third list today and all eyes will be on the candidate whom the party selects to lock horns with Modi from Varanasi.
