New Delhi: It’s been over a month that the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) announced the draw for the much-awaited housing scheme in the national capital. But the lax attitude of the Authority has landed some of the lucky winners in trouble.

While May 31 was fixed by the Authority as the last date to submit verification forms, many lucky winners have either not received the verification form yet or have received it so late that they are facing it hard to complete the required formalities and meet the deadline.

As per the rules, if the flat awardees do not submit the verification by May 31, they would deem to have forfeited their claim on the allotted flat.

One of such lucky winners, Ramnath Rajesh of Pandav Nagar, received the form on May 28.

Ramnath contends that he is required to submit the form with due verification from a class one officer along with the related documents and affidavit, with literally only two days at hand as all offices are closed on Sunday .

When contacted, the DDA officials said that the date of verification has been extended.

“The verification would continue till June. A public notice has been issued in that regard. Separate date is being given to all the applicants. People who have received the form late can contact the concerned officials,” said Nimo Dhar, Public Relations Officer of DDA.
