London, Jan 16 (Agencies): With three-and-a-half months to go before they tie the knot, a luxury pad is reportedly being built in Clarence House for Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The couple, Prince William (28) and Kate (29), who'll use the palace flat as their London home, are refurbishing the bachelor pad that William shares with Prince Harry, the 'Daily Star' reported.

While the second-in-line to the British throne's old bedroom is being enlarged to make enough space for the couple, Harry's rooms are being converted into a luxury suite for Kate who will have her own dressing room, office and bathroom.

But William and Kate have broken the royal tradition of separate bedrooms.

"William’s parents had separate bedrooms almost from the first day of their married life and so do most members of the family," said an aide.

"But that isn’t where Kate comes from and to anyone born outside that family or the aristocracy, it just looks cold and a bit potty. Prince William doesn't want to follow that route and they want their life to be as normal and unstuffy as possible," the aide added.
