Mumbai: Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit took to Twitter to congratulate Birju Maharaj for winning a National Award this year.

"Congratulations to Pandit Birju Maharaj-ji for winning the National award. Overjoyed," tweeted Madhuri, who will train under the renowned choreographer for "Dedh Ishqiya".

He had earlier taught the actress, a trained Kathak dancer, steps for the song "Kaahe chhed mohe" from the film "Devdas".

Birju Maharaj won the National Award for best choreography for Kamal Haasan's multilingual spy-thriller "Vishwaroopam".
