Indore: Former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra aiming to create awareness in public against corruption and black money seems to have failed to generate enthusiasm in the cadres of Madhya Pradesh BJP Unit. The Yatra will arrive in Bhopal on October 16.

According to reports, the state BJP Chief, Prabhat Jha, has assigned the Indore Unit with a target to assemble a crowd of atleast 10,000 people on the day Advani will address the public rally in Bhopal. The responsibility of making arrangements for Advani’s meeting in the state capital that includes commutation cost of the party activists has also been handed over to the Indore BJP unit.

The party unit however is yet to arrange buses for the commutation facility on the scheduled day of Bhopal public meeting. The unit has delegated the responsibility on the party councilors and divisional officers to bring crowd at the meeting site. The orders given to the Indore unit have added to the troubles of the city unit.

It may be noted here that during the Indore BJP unit’s meeting to chalk out strategy for Advani’s public meeting in Bhopal, only 20 out of 70 invited BJP activists were present.

According to the sources, the party activists have shied away when it was proposed that commutation cost for bringing crowd at the public meeting site would be their responsibility.
