Bhopal: Under the provisions of Right to Education (RTE), the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government has extended the last date of application for free education in private schools to 25 per cent children belonging to poor and deprived sections of society.

The guardians of these students can fill up the forms till June 16, and through a lottery system the admission would take place in the private schools.

The Secretary, School Education Department, has issued directive in this regard to all the District Education Officers (DEOs) and District Project Coordinators (DPCs).

The process will continue in those private schools where less applications have been received against the quota, said the directive.
Further, DEOs and DPCs have been instructed to provide the information and copies of directive to such schools so that guardians of children belonging to poor and deprived sections can get the requisite information.
