Bhopal: Junior doctors of Madhya Pradesh have decided to call off their 7-day strike on Sunday after a meeting with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. During the agitation, as many as 50 lives were lost.

The government took help of a team of doctors to pursue the striking medics to end their strike, as the state’s  Assembly Session is beginning  on Monday. 

During the meeting, it was decided that the government will adopt a sympathetic approach on a few issues of the junior doctors which include increasing their stipend, releasing them from jails at the earliest.

The government promised that no action will be taken against them nor their stipend will be deducted for the arrested period.

Junior doctors also agreed for one year mandatory service bond in rural areas.
