Bhopal: In an effort to improve sex ratio in the state, Ladli Laxmi scheme was started in Madhya Pradesh  five years back and it has become the only state in the country where girl children are not only being taken care under the scheme but many welfare schemes are also being run in their favour.

The largest number of girl children being benefitted by the scheme figure around 2,41,000 from Jabalpur district while 1,84,566  girl children come from Indore district while in Ujjain district 1,34,566 girl children were benefitted by the scheme.

It was followed by Sagar district where 1,20,578 girl children got benefitted by the scheme.

On the other, Bhopal registered 1,15,00  girl children while Reva had 88000 girl children who got benefitted by the scheme.
