Khadse was replying to a question raised by members Amarsingh Pandit, Satish Chavan, Dhananjay Munde, Abdullakhan Durrani, Ramhari Rupanwar, Sanjay Datta and Bhai Jagtap regarding small irrigation schemes of Maharashtra.
He said that due to funds problem, the government was unable to release earlier subsidies (for two financial years) and therefore "we have not accepted a single case of small irrigation scheme."

"Central funds are yet to be received. We have to complete all the backlog in small irrigation schemes. Now, for this year, we are accepting fresh proposals for small irrigation schemes. For this year, we have demanded Rs 720 crore from the Centre," he added.
Khadse said that the government is planning to give 100 percent subsidy to such schemes for scheduled castes and scheduled tribe farmers.
The Centre, too, is in favor of this scheme. For small irrigation systems, we are taking advances from NABARD with focus on completion, he added.
