New Delhi: The Maharashtra State board for secondary school certificate (SSC) class 10 examination is set to be declared today as the students wait in anticipation.

Taking a look at the performance of the students in the last year Maharashtra board exams, the state had recorded an appreciable pass percentage of 76.06 percent.

The students from the commercial capital of India Mumbai emerged victorious over the other divisions.

Mumbai topped among the eight divisions in the state with overall pass percentage of 87.93 percent. Pune division scored second with a percentage of 85.91 percent while Kolhapur division completed close third with 85.75 passing percentage.

While maintaining the existing trend, the girls had outshone boys in the class X exam.

The pas percentage of girl students was recorded at 77.54 percent while the boys registered a pass percentage of 74.78 percent.

A total of 14,60,947 boys and girl students had appeared in the Maharashtra board class 10 exams.

Mumbai tops the eight divisions with an overall pass percentage of 87.93%. Pune division is second with a percentage of 85.91% while Kolhapur division is a close third with 85.75 passing percentage.
