Kamal Nath also focused on the importance of promoting public transport services in order to reduce the distances between satellite cities and Delhi.

Delhi-Panipat (111 km), Delhi-Alwar (180 km) and Delhi-Meerut (90 km) lines are likely to be covered under the Rapid Rail.
