Noida: Veteran social-activist Anna Hazare on Monday asked the Congress to come out clean ahead of the Election Commission on its election funding and the money it spent in organising election rallies in the recently concluded assembly elections in five states.

Speaking to media, team Anna prominent member Arvind Kejriwal said, “People have right to know about their expenses. Expenses must be made public. They are not only accountable to the Election Commission.”

"Elections (are) over. Diggy Raja (Digvijay Singh) should make Rahul's helicopter and party's other election expenses and sources public. Other parties should also do that," Kejriwal also tweeted.

Kejriwal’s statement came in the wake of Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh remark that the Congress will declare the expenses to the Election Commission and not to Arvind Kejriwal.

Meanwhile, informing about Team Anna members meeting on Monday at Noida Sector 14, Kejriwal said, “We discussed to organise campaigns in each district to seek participation of senior citizens and senior officers in our movement.”

The final call on organising campaigns will be taken in the meeting scheduled next week.

Kejriwal also ruled out the allegations that team Anna’s campaigning in Uttarakhand during the assembly elections, was not against any political party.
