Speaking on the progress achieved in the two districts, Banerjee said electrification target of all households had been completed and four universities and 45 new colleges were set up.

However, development work in these two districts, was less compared to other districts. The state government, she added, had plans to set up 7 medical colleges in the state.

Banerjee cited 96 subjects concerning the two districts were discussed at the review meeting. She also laid the foundation of 55 projects in the two districts by pressing a remote button.

On the bad condition of the National Highway , Mamata Banerjee said she will write a letter to the NHAI on this issue.
