New Delhi: After stopping the combing operations against the Naxalites, West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee has now placed a ban on tapping any phone calls made by them to keep the friendship shared between Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Naxals under the wraps.

The decision comes as a surprise to central security agencies as the ban would stop the source of information regarding Naxal activities and their preparations in the state.

Apparently unperturbed by security forces, Naxals have started preparing to convert the Junglemahal into a larger training set.

The phone tapping of Naxal in their dominated regions is a normal process. Central agencies tap their phone call on the instructions of the State Chief Secretary, which helps in disclosing the crucial information about Naxal activities. On the basis of that these security agencies run campaign against the Naxalites.

It is to be noted that during Buddhadeb government in Bengal Security, the phone calls of Naxalites were being tapped on the request of the police but when Mamata government came in power such practices against Naxals were banned.
