Kolkata: In order to take West Bengal out of financial crisis, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is making efforts to change the economic scenario by creating employment opportunities in the state with the Central assistance.

However, the Centre is planning to extend help to Mamata’s development projects while remaining in its limit, if the sources are to be believed.

Expressing faith in the Central government, State Finance Minister Amit Mitra, who on Tuesday met Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee said the party is confident of a positive outcome. He also said after discussions with the Finance Ministry, Mamata will soon meet Pranab to finalise the issues.

“We want that the Centre should support us on the basis of long term and short term policies. After getting assurances from the Finance Minister we are confident and the will be resolved soon,” Mitra added.
