New Delhi: Major constituent of UPA government and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday skipped the crucial conference of Chief Ministers of all states with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh over the situation of internal security in the country.

No reason has been assigned for the West Bengal Chief Minister's decision as of now.

Even if Banerjee put her aside of the very important meet, it is more likely that she will attend the discussion convened by the PM specifically on the much-hyped National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) issue on May 5.
