Kolkata: While lashing out at Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee for ruling out a special bailout package for West Bengal, the State Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has decided to take up the issue in the Parliament.

“We are not seeking sympathy, it is the right of the debt-ridden state. We will take up this issue in Parliament and stress on the demand for special package”, stated Banerjee in her stern response.

Banerjee, in her absence from the parliament has handed over the responsibility in this conext to Union Health Minister Sudip Bandopadhyay. It would be for the first time that experienced Bandopadhyay would be heading the party on an issue.

According to, Bandopadhyay met Pawan Bansal, Central Parliamentary Minister had discussed about allotting the office to TMC.

According to sources, Bandopadhyay met Central Parliamentary Minister Pawan Bansal and raised the demand for the allotment of office to Trinamool Congress in parliament. Following which, possibilities are that the party would soon be allotted an office in the parliament.
