New Delhi: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is all set to woo the West Bengal cadre IAS officers to boost her claim for economic package for the cash strapped state.

All the WB cadre IAS officers including newly appointed Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Pulak Chatterjee, would be invited to the lunch hosted by the CM in Delhi on November 24.

The lunch would be hosted at TMC leader and Union Minister of State for Shipping Mukul Roy’s residence. During the lunch the officials will be reminded to strive hard for passing the schemes for the state.

She is likely to lobby hard to get a hefty special package to address the battered financial condition of the state. Her presence in the national capital will certainly boost the morale of party MPs during the winter session of the Parliament.

It is worth mentioning that the Centre is yet to make its stand clear on granting special package to West Bengal.

Both the parties have locked horns with each other over political killings in the state. Mamata has warned the Congress over ties, while Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh indirectly reminded the TMC the Congress is a big party.

However, the tension got diffused with the timely intervention of the Congress high command.
