Gurgaon Police Commissioner Alok Mittal said the Lucknow police detained 48-year old Amaresh Misra from Gurgaon Sector 56.

A case against Misra was registered under Section 153A of the Indian Penal Code and 66A of the IT Act Misra, who is the co-author of the story and script of popular Bollywood movie ‘Bullet Raja’, was produced before the duty judge for transit custody before a seven-member team went to his house to arrest him, Vivek Sharma, Joint Commissioner (crime) said.

Misra’s Twitter account has been suspended by the social networking website. Several of his followers created uproar after he sent vile and threatening tweets against Modi.

Misra is known to be a Congress supporter on Twitter and is the convener of Anti-Communal Front.

He is notorious for sending obnoxious tweets against the saffron camp and was an alumina of the Allahabad University. Misra has also been linked to CPI-ML in the past.
