Ranchi: A day after the Congress accused the RSS of stage managing the ink-throw incident against yoga guru Ramdev, Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Sunday claimed that the person apprehended has links with Congress and had contested municipal elections as a party candidate.

Ramdev said there was a photograph of the accused Kamran Siddique with the Delhi Chief Minister, suggesting that he has links with the Congress. If there is no such association, Congress should deny it, he said.

Kamran's family said he had unsuccessfully contested the MCD election on Nationalist Congress Party ticket in 2007.

Swamy said he would address a public meeting along with Ramdev on February 4 in the national capital to put Anna Hazare’s movement at the top among what he claimed three forums fighting against corruption.

He said there was need to bring in good-honest and like-minded persons in Team Anna to rally behind Anna Hazare's campaign against corruption.

After releasing an anti-corruption book "Madhu Koda Loot Raj" authored by BJP leader Saryu Roy here, the Janata Party president claimed that the Rs 1.76 lakh crore 2G spectrum scam was small compared to the Rs 70 lakh crore blackmoney allegedly stashed away in foreign banks.
