Speaking on the sidelines of a function here, Tewari said Kejriwal’s protest against alleged police inaction is not going to work.

“It is constitutional anarchy... They're resorting to gimmickry,” Tewari said.

“You may have got the mandate to govern and made tall claims... and you know you cannot deliver, so they are resorting to gimmickry,” he added.

“I am worried about the message it is sending to obscurantist, reactionary and conservative males -- that they can resort to vigilantism if they don't like the way a woman dresses or the work she does with her life,” Tewari said.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has alleged that policemen did not cooperate with Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti during his vigilante-style raid on Wednesday night in south Delhi where he alleged that some African nationals were carrying on a ‘drug and sex racket’.
