Hyderabad: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will arrive in Hyderabad on Tuesday for the inauguration of ministerial session at a global biodiversity conference.

The PM will inaugurate the session at the United Nations conference on bio-diversity, which began last week, at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) during his one-day visit.

Security has been stepped up in the city as pro-Telangana groups have threatened to hold protests over the statehood demand. Director General of Police V Dinesh Reddy and other senior officers reviewed the security arrangements and inspected the venues where Dr Singh will visit.

They took stock of security measures at Begumpet Airport, HICC and Cyberabad Police Commissionerate. The arrangements are being monitored by the SPG, a senior police officer said.
