In a tweet, the Haryana chief minister lashed out at Kejriwal and held him responsible for water logging on Gurgaon highway. He said that the Delhi chief minister’s non-cooperative behaviour is behind the mess in Gurgaon.

Hundreds of commuters on the Delhi-Gurgaon route remained stuck on the National Highway 8 for more than 10 hours after heavy rains left the Hero Honda Chowk inundated.

The NH 8 remained cut-off with traffic moving towards Rajasthan and Maharashtra being stuck on the city roads and state highways throughout Thursday night. The water level further started rising around 1 am on Friday.

As a result, the terrified commuters pulled down a part of the divider on Delhi-Gurgaon expressway to escape the gushing water. Angry citizens demanded action against officials responsible for the situation. The traffic situation in the city is expected to remain critical throughout Friday.
