Dehri-on-Sone: A self-styled zonal commander of a Maoist outfit was arrested from Barkuria village in Bihar's Rohtas district on Thursday. Acting on a tip off, the police arrested the Maoist from near a brick kiln, superintendent of police Manu Maharaj said.

Paswan was said to the self-styled zonal commander of Kaimuranchal-Rohtas a naxal outfit, he said.

The ultra, a native of Yadunathpur village under Chutia police station aream and a self-styled zonal commander of Kaimuranchal-Rohtas was wanted in 36 cases of violence, including encounter with police in Rohtas district, he added.
