Aurangabad (Bihar): Two policemen were killed and three injured in a gun fight with Maoists who attacked the base camp of a construction firm and tried to destroy a bridge over river Belaru in Goh police station area of Aurangabad district. According to police, some private security guards of the firm also got injured in the gunfight.

The deceased belong to Special Auxiliary Police force personnel, police siad.
    
Sub-Divisional Police Officer of Dawood Nagar Anwar Javed said that around 50 armed Maoists arrived at the bridge over Dilaru river under Goh police station area and exploded bombs to destroy it. However, no damage was caused to the bridge.
    
The encounter began when a police contingent reached the spot on getting the information. The Maoists fired at the security personnel who retaliated.
    
Casualty or injury on the side of the red rebels was not known. A combing operation was on, the SDPO said.
