Jehanabad (Bihar): Police have arrested a CPI (Maoist) leader and wife of another ultra and seized an amount of Rs 1.27 lakh from them from near the railway station in Bihar's Jehanabad district, police said on Monday.

Acting on a tip off, police held the Maoist leader Ram Pravesh Yadav alias Radheshayam and Prabha Devi, wife of the CPI(Maoist) central committee member Arvind with the cash last night, Superintendent of Police Harpreet Kaur said.

A pen drive, five mobile phones and designs of bomb manufacturing were also seized from their possession, she said.

Yadav was wanted in the three cases of naxal activities, including the 2005 Jehanabad jail break case.

The duo was being questioned about the source of these materials and for whom these were meant for, the SP said.
