Rourkela,Jan 29 (Agencies): Security forces on Saturday nabbed a Maoist and destroyed a camp of the rebels in Krupapani reserve forest in Sundargarh District bordering Jharkhand.

In a joint operation, Sundargarh Police and CRPF personnel raided the Naxal camp in the early hours leading to an exchange of fire with the red ultras, police sources said.

security forces captured one of the Maoists and seized five bags including five mobiles and four rifles from the spot.

Superintendent of Police of Sundargarh ,Dipak Kumar termed the destruction of the Maoist camp as a major success  in the anti-Naxal operation.

Combing operation and search was still continuing in the dense forest while interrogation of the arrested Maoist was on, he added.
