Jamui: In the wake of arrest of five top Naxal leaders, a group of heavily armed Naxals triggered a blast at railway track near Narganju railway station in Bihar’s Jamui district during the wee hours of Thursday.

Train services were disrupted due to the incident, Railway police said. Maoists also abducted the Assistant Station Masters Maldhari Rwani and Kaushal Kishore.

Maurya Express,Garib Rath, Ganga Sagar, Purvanchal, Raxaul-Mithilanchal express trains running on the route were stopped after Railway authorities received information regarding the incident and teams were immediately dispatched to repair the damaged tracks.

The incident took place only a few minutes after Howrah-Amritsar Express crossed the station.

In Sanowar area of the district, Maoists set ablaze two mobile phone towers and a tractor.

According to the police, a combing operation has been launched to nab the ultras.

Meanwhile, the Maoists have given a bandh call in Bihar and Jharkhand to protest the recent arrest of their leaders.
