Khera: In the past three days, for the consecutive second time armed Maoists brought down a two-storey school building after looting it at Chananber village in Bihar's Jamui district in the early hours on Sunday.

According to the police, at least a dozen ultras brought two JCB machines from a private firm engaged in the construction of a road in Jamui and used it to demolish the school building. More than 12 rooms of the school building were razed to the ground.

The Maoists demolished the building to prevent authorities from using the school for housing security personnel involved in anti Maoist-operations, the police said.

Confirming the reports, Additional Police Superintendent Pushkar Anand said that combing operation has been launched in the area to nab the ultras.

Notably, on Friday at least 60 Maoist rebels had destroyed a secondary school following which education for school children is under a threat.
