Midnapore: Criticizing the Trinamool Congress government for hiking allowance for its ministers, Maoists have issued posters in the west Midnapore district in West Bengal.

Accusing the Mamata government of breaking the promise it made, the Maoists have also urged the people to boycott MLAs hailing from Junglemahal area.

According to police officials, the posters have been pasted on walls and trees in the Nayagram and Gwaltod, Pukuria and Dalui villages. The posters state that at a time when economically weaker sections are finding it difficult to make their both ends meet, hiking the allowance for the ministers and legislators is totally unjustifiable.

The posters have also cautioned the police informants.

Meanwhile, the TMC leaders said the posters have been pasted by the Hamdard Vahini of the CPI (M) and the Maoists to scuttle the development works being carried out in the Junglemahal.
