Kolkata: Taking a serious note of Maoists’ open letter to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, West Bengal government has indicated a stern action against the extremist if they do not stop the political killing.

“Who has given you the right to kill? I am all for negotiation, so I have given a lot of time. I will give more time if you want. But you will kill people and negotiate that cannot be. You have to choose one,” Mamata had said.

Annoyed over the political killings by  Maoists, Mamata has given a responsibility to interlocutors to hold deliberations with the extremists.

Earlier, Mamata had asked Union Home Minister P Chidambaram not to withdraw paramilitary forces deployed at the Jangalmahal area. In a strong reaction to the state government move, the Maoists have expressed their intention in the open letter to the CM.

Maoists have also opposed the government decision not to withdraw the central forces. Within a week. They have killed three persons including two Trinamool Congress leaders.
