The office of a quarry at Nedumpoyil here was allegedly attacked by Maoists in wee hours of Friday. The police have reached the spot and launched investigations.
Donning military uniform, a gang led by a woman broke into the premises of the office of New Bharath Stone Crusher functioning at 34 mile in Peravoor.
They first tied up security personnel and vandalised the office. The group left after taking away the CCTV cameras and raising pro-Maoist slogans.
According to the district police officials, Maoist sympathisers in the area helped the ultras take out such attacks on government offices.
It is not the sole incident that took place in the state where Maoists attack government offices and vandalise government properties. In the recent past, Kerala has faced many such attacks.
The ultras reportedly attacked forest department offices in Wayanad and Palakkad districts on December 22nd last year.
