Shaheed Bhagat Singh (1863)

Shaheed-e-Azad Bhagat Singh was released in the year 1963. Shammi Kapoor appeared as Shaheed Bhagat Singh in the movie. Directed by KN Bansal, the films starcast also include Shakeela, Premnath, Ulhas and Achla Sachdev.

Shaheed (1965)

Starring Manoj Kumar, Shaheed's patriotic songs  are still popular. The film also won awards for Best Feature Film in Hindi, the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration and Best Story Award at the 13th National Film Awards.

Shaheed-E-Azam ((2002)

Shaheed-e-Azam was one of the three films released in 2002 based on Bhagat Singh's life. Sonu Sood played the role of Singh.

The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002)

Two films--23rd March 1931: Shaheed and The  Legend of Bhagat Singh--  was released on the same day in the year 2002. Though both the movie had failed to create a buzz at the box office, critics had praised the Ajay Devgan starrer and Rajkumar Santoshi directed The  Legend of Bhagat Singh.

Rang De Basanti (2006)

Released in the year 2006, Rakesh Omprakash Mehra directed Rang De Basanti, starring big stars such as Aamir Khan, Sherman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor among others, was a huge hit. Later the movie became the source of several agitations across India.
