New Delhi: As the talk between the management and workers failed to make any breakthrough with both sides unwilling to budge from their respective positions, the solution on the 29-day lockout at Maruti Suzuki Manesar plant seems to be far away from the sight.

However, the company is recruiting around 100-150 new workers every day, in a bid to reach the normal production levels. Maruti Suzuki on Tuesday also started production of SX4 cars at Manesar in addition to Swift.

According to the company, another batch of 120 experienced and trained technicians have been recruited at Manesar on Tuesday, which has led the manpower to 1,500.

At present, the production of Swift Dzire is almost normal with 725 Swift Dzire being produced every day. Since this model is the most demanding in the market with 1.08 lakh pending orders, the company is focusing on its production.
