New Delhi: In order to check its dwindling sales figures over the last two months, Maruti Suzuki has decided to promote its to-be-launched new model of Swift amongst its old customers.

The number one car maker in the country, by connecting with its existing customers, is aiming at increasing its sales growth rate, which has sharply declined over the last two months.

“Lakhs of our customers are associated with the company for over two decades. Among them number of people who want to change their car is huge. We will allow them to have a test drive of the new Swift. Company would offer them special discounts and help in getting easy auto loans, if they choose to buy the car,” Mayank Parikh, CEO, Marketing told Dainik Jagran.

“36,000 people have already booked the new car. We would start delivering the cars by end of this month,” he said adding that they would check the declining trend of sales by the end of September.

While the company has left the exteriors of the compact car unchanged, the entire focus has been on revamping the interiors.
Both petrol and diesel models of the remodeled car are being launched by the company.

The company has claimed a mileage of 22.6 km and 18.6 km for its diesel and petrol model, respectively. The new model would have extra leg space, especially for those sitting in the rear, with the interiors having been widened by 2 inches.

Moreover, the gear system of the car has been smoothened by installing new technology in the gear box.
