Gurgaon: Staff members and relatives of Awanish Kumar Dev, who died in July 18 incident in Maruti Suzuki plant at Manesar, paid tribute to him this evening by lighting candles at Leisure Valley here.
Around 200 members including women and children took out a small procession here and placed candles in front of his photographs. They were carrying placards stating 'We want justice' and 'Justice for Awanish's death'.
Some of the executives told media they want all the culprits responsible for the death to be arrested. Gurgaon police has already arrested 114 workers including all office bearers of the union.
S Y Siddiqui, chief operating officer (administration) of Maruti Suzuki was also present at the ceremony.
To a question when production will start at the plant, there were no comments.
MSI General Manager (HR) at the Manesar plant Awanish Kumar Dev was charred to death in the arson and violence in the plant in which 100 others were also injured.
