Kolkata: Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee has assured the party supporters in election rallies that she would lay down a concrete foundation of development not only for present but for future as well.

Launching a scathing attack on the state government, she said during the Left Front regime of over three decades three generations have been spoiled, as the number of unemployed has reached to one crore.

In past 35 years of Marxist rule, nearly 55,000 small and medium scale cottage industries have been closed, she said, adding “people of Bengal are vying for development and if they want a change why CPM leaders are worried.”

Addressing rallies in Chapda and Nakashipada of Nadia district, Mamata said, she would accept the decision of people. In the last Panchayat, Lok Sabha and local body elections, people have given adequate hints for change, and now the final hour has come, she added.

Mamata even flayed BJP for working according to the whims of the Marxist government.

‘Trinamool distributed black money’

Alleging Trinamool supremo Mamta Banerjee for using black money in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Veteran CPI (M) leader and West Bengal Housing Minister Goutam Deb said he would take up the matter with the Election Commission.

At a press meet in Kolkata on Saturday, he said Mamata has distributed Rs 15 lakh in the name of donations.

Citing the example of money used in paintings and hoardings, he said Mamata has spent a lot of amount in the election campaign. He added that the paintings were sold at Rs 2 crore, while raising the question as to who were the buyers.
